Artist's Comments

I stopped dead in my track when I saw this today. Stared at it for a minute before wading through a small, snowy meadow to photograph it.

I think this is one of my favourite pictures ever.

Shot with EOS-1D and EF 135mm f/2L USM.

What a perfect photo. Looks so lonely, but has charm. Guess that it's sentimental place, I'd love to keep it near. :+fav:

This is great.. I only wish the little hill would be more visible

As I lay in my bed, looking up to the stars and the moon, I started to ask myself: "Where the hell is my ceiling?"

Nice that you notice the symbolism. :) Thanks for commenting!
:iconwesterberg:
Well, you see it, so it's visible enough. We're talking minimalism here! ;) Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)

The Hill is visable enough, I don't think you would want to change that. I love the idea, of the tree surviving in bleak, lonely conditions and the sharpness of the tree in the white is wonderful! Weldone on the image, I can see why it would be one of your favorites

The perfect blossom...
amazing. Maybe it's just my monitor, but if only it had a liiiiiitle more contrast between the sky and landscape... ;)
:iconwesterberg:
Thanks. It's actually all landscape. It's snow in the background. :)
